VTG MCM Viking glass swung vase or candle vase? Amethyst Purple
Impressive at over 4lbs and 14.5” tall, with an over 5” wide base.
Striking and very architectural looking.
Pumpkin paperweight for scale.
The underside of the triangular base has scratches. There is a chip on the edge of the base with a horizontal hairline crack that extends from it approximately 2”. Green arrow in picture 6 points to chip, blue arrow shows direction of hairline crack. Shown again in pic 7.
In my opinion, the vase is sound and this does not detract from display.
This does not have a taper candle cup like other similar pieces I’ve seen.
Seemingly an uncommon piece, not able to locate item number in popular book by Dean Six.
Would look great displayed with any Viking glass collection, Murano art glass, Mid Century modern glass, Tri foil vase, three foil vase, Finger vases, Stretch glass pieces, Floor vases, Dragon tooth, LE Smith glass vases
